As part of our preparation for the upcoming school year, we invite you and your child to participate in our Kindergarten Screening. Due to ongoing construction at Atrea Early Learning Center, all screening sessions will take place at Arongen Elementary School.

The Atrea Early Learning Center is located at 5 Maxwell Drive, and the school day will run from 8:20 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Children in the district who turn 5 years old on or before Dec. 1 are eligible to begin kindergarten in September.
Transportation will be provided to and from the student’s primary residence. For families who need extended care, the YMCA will offer fee-based before-school care starting at 7 a.m. and after-school care from 2:15 to 6 p.m. right at Atrea.

Shatekon's current principal, Erica Ryan, has been named the new principal of Atrea. She will continue as Shatekon's principal until she makes the transition to her new position in April 2026.
On October 8th, the Board of Education approved a resolution to name the district's Early Learning Center. The Atrea Early Learning Center will welcome students in the fall of 2026!
